NA-ACCORD data from Zalla et al showing that the difference in 3-year mortality between Black and White adults with HIV who initiated care in the US from 1996-2019 would have decreased from 1.0 to 0.2 percentage points if everyone had received immediate treatment and guideline-based follow up. Clinical interventions to ensure that all PWH receive immediate and optimal treatment could decrease disparities in HIV mortality.
