With COVID, bird flu, measles -- now more than ever we need to be masking in public spaces!
@luckytran I called and left a message urging Governor Hochul to not push a mask ban in public spaces while airborne communicable diseases are on the rise again and in fact, to push for their USE.
She is abandoning the sick and disabled. I have asthma and sinus issues, my wife has an autoimmune issue. We've been determined and lucky to have only caught COVID once so far thanks to vaccines and masking.
What does a mask ban have to do with a BUDGET PROCESS anyway???

This feels very similar to when there were a bunch of polls asking people if they felt safe on the subway but not differentiating between "I feel unsafe because I might catch COVID" and "I feel unsafe because of crime" and then always presented the results as if it was a foregone conclusion that everyone meant "because of crime"
Why do all of these people act like there is only a single aspect to public safety and it's statistically the least dangerous one?

No, we can't wait for 2026 elections. But impeachment is not an option. Trump's two impeachments illustrate how broken that process is.
