Liberals & conservatives are both capitalists, and, thus, both right wing. Their capitalist empire is failing, so they are lashing out - attempting to regain control.
That German guy in the 30's didn't win the election. It was a coalition with liberals that gave him power. When the choice is between improving life for the people and maintaining their elite comforts, they will make a mad dash to go fash nearly every time.

I don't know much about Stalin or Soviet history. It seems that Stalin took his seminary training and combined it with a lot of manipulation to become an effective politician.
I'd welcome any recommendations for a short primer on what happened within the socialist movement that allowed the mustachioed one to seize power, if you happen to know of one.

I'll just share the goings on of KPD and Stalin that stopped uniting SPD and KPD two mass workers' parties to fight fascism. Trotsky wasn't calling for an unprincipled alliance no he didn't want workers' to take on SPD ideas he just wanted to overthrow fascism and in doing so enlighten workers' of the correctness of communists.

The empire is dying, which puts it in crisis. A couple descriptions to help with perspective.
1) Fascism is capitalism in crisis.
2) Capitalism gone abroad becomes imperialism. Imperialism returned home becomes fascism.

I'd suggest they don't need to use technology to identify us. All the protests I've ever been to were peaceful, and we've seen over and over that the reich wing and police are usually the ones to instigate violence. And the police have been shown, repeatedly, to not arrest right wing instigators even when they commit crimes right in front of them.
All they need to do is stop supporting genocide and colonization around the world.
