@luckytran I suspect that making protesting less safe and, by extension, spending time with those protesting less safe is a feature, rather than a bug, for mask banners.

@luckytran Mapping the mask ban argument over the gun control argument is so infuriating with the whole “Well then only bad people will have guns” standby argument. You can’t protect yourself with a mask, but you can with a gun? Should people just start shooting others that cough in public instead? I was standing my ground against a virus?
Disclaimer: I am not advocating violence, just showing the absurdism of where we are with protecting offensive measures while tearing down defensive ones in the US. It is just a terribly sad state of affairs.

@luckytran not a bug, it's a feature. they can make it easy to prosecute for protests AND they can also help take out the "inferiors" and remove them from society.

@luckytran All this brouhaha is incomprehensible to me. Over the last twenty years I have spent much time overseas in Asia where mask wearing is normal and considered polite behavior. I just don’t get this. I mean I do “get” it actually, but it’s still infuriating.

The fatality rate for Covid is 0.6
