Hard to take this person seriously when words aren’t aligning with actions
Technically this is year 5 for me based on my first infection, but for many this is only year 2 or 3 based on their first infection…
@Lorrrraaaaine @luckytran Totally agree!! My very first thought was, if we're supposed to take this information seriously, why isn't it accompanied by a MASKED photo of the person saying it? Why isn't she PUSHING HARD for layered mitigations and leading by example?!

Quite frankly was shocked when I first discovered these photos mid-December as surely w/her background thought she would be ultra ultra cautious
don’t like commenting on appearances so apologies in advance.. I’m also a fashion designer who worked for decades in retail where it was my job to ..make people look their best. And obviously this is all conjecture however she looked to my eyes as though she were expecting
but after looking into her saw that we were the same age & realized that was impossible. What was more probable was she was in early menopause.. which accelerated aging will do. I’ve noticed this with other women who are exhibiting no caution & are younger than me. Menopause for many will make them lose their waist.
At least Deborah Birx walks the walk as she stated in a recent interview she had Covid only once.

Let me guess, these photos are probably taken in places where everybody is tested and the air ventilation is excellent and they have nasal sprays and all that so they feel less vulnerable than us mere mortals.
@luckytran The part that fills me with the most dread is what are the possible consequences to growing children? We might be able to have theories and make guesses, but we won't know until 100s of 1000s of people have grown from infancy to adulthood and are experiencing those consequences. This is why I mask.
I don't know but here's a great idea: Let's all do absolutely nothing about it and find out together! Sounds like fun, right? I mean...what could go wrong?

@luckytran "We don't know what to expect but we have an idea of how things could develop. It's not like there'll be deaths, it could just cause serious health problems and that's better right? We won't be doing anything preventative about it as everyone's soooo sick of that, we're just hoping it won't be that bad really, doing anything now would be too hasty."

I don’t know if it’s just here but a close friend is a nurse in the SF East bay and although several nurses have had Covid in the past few months, there has not been a noticeable increase in hospital admissions. It seems to have become a much milder version of the original

If we had honest, transparent, widespread, global messaging that was all saying the exact same thing, we might have a chance. But we never will, and that's something I'll have to live with for the rest of my life.
