One reason I feed year round is because I love to watch them bring their to the . Here's a male feeding his baby boy on a tree next to the feeder. And a female feeding her baby boy, and then a picture of the baby having a go at the feeder himself. And finally, a female who brought her boy and girl to the feeder and fed them on the deck railing.

This is the same baby boy downy woodpecker, perched on the suet nugget feeder and trying to get it to feed him. I don't think he got anything to eat, but he'll figure it out soon enough.
In the middle is a female adult pileated woodpecker. On her right is her baby girl and on her left, her baby boy. In the background is the suet nugget feeder. She filled her beak with suet and fed each of them on the deck railing.
