Thirty-three years ago, on July 26, 1990, the Americans with Disabilities Act #ADA was signed into law to address #discrimination and protect the rights of individuals living with #disabilities. This legislation has had a profound impact on a significant segment of the U.S. population as well as the field of OEM.
Today, in solidarity with over 60 million individuals living with a disability in the United States, we honor the 33rd anniversary commemorating this historic day also known as National Disability Independence Day. ACOEM is committed to inclusion of all groups, including those living with visible and invisible disabilities—ACOEM’s JEDI Committee is proactively seeking ways to ensure that all members feel both welcomed and supported within our organization. #OccEnvMed
