Our new study:
️Clinical & allergy profiles: PPI-R EoE similar to PPI-NR EoE, but distinct from EE/GERD
️Concomittant allergy: 75% PPI-R & 79% PPI-NR EoE vs 19% EE
️Predictors for PPI-R EoE vs EE: rings, furrows, allergy hx
This provides further evidence that “PPI-R EoE” is a subtype of EoE w/ typical clinical/allergy features of EoE, but different response to treatment (PPI)
