#ImageForensics challenge.
Two Western blots (each showing a different protein), performed on samples from five different treatment groups (rats).
Can you spot some unexpected similar-looking bands?
@ElisabethBik@med-mastodon.com the whole bottom row reads like a palindrome to me
@linear It does!
Congratulations with winning the third and final Emoji Award. Here it comes:
@ElisabethBik Far too easy tonight, Elisabeth.
Can't believe I was too late (to get a 'medal').
As an aside, why is it that journals aren't asking for full length WBs to be submitted, instead of just the band alone? You can hide a lot by just producing the band by itself.
@Ebly Some journals are doing that now, but that is fairly recent.
@ElisabethBik Looks like they didn't even bother trying to hide they just cut and pasted those two beta actin bands over and over in different lanes
@ElisabethBik there’s a reason it’s labelled “sham”
The ones in blue reminded me of the drinking bird in the Simpsons. Instantly.
