I got something in my eye!

Well done Pulvertaft and Ms O'Brien especially. #Dupuytrens #DupuytrenContracture #Pulvertaft

@Dupuytrens ... Dupuytren ... is often triggered by foods high in ... AGEs ... Advanced Glycation Products ... They occur in processed foods ... and high-heat treated foods ...
@doctoralexa
Really? Can you give us a link to the article(s) on that?
Dupuytrens is a centuries old disease, and I would love to see how modern foodstuffs could have caused it.
@Dupuytrens ... One of the foodstuffs ... that have always been around ... and are linked to Dupuytren's ... is ... booze ...
@doctoralexa controversial at best.
In high amounts, yes.
But a moderate to low intake has not been implicated in recent studies.
Plus Dupuytrens also manages to mess up the hands of teetotallers.
Too easy to blame modern lifestyle or nutrition for an old disease.
